CanalPOP! is the business incubator where LIFEisTEA finds its home, hosted by CBCAC and part of the City of Chicago's Storefront initiative. Through CanalPOP!, LIFEisTEA joins a community of local entrepreneurs and AAPI makers, offering visitors a chance to explore thoughtfully crafted teas and ceramics. As a part of this incubator, LIFEisTEA not only shares its passion for tea but also participates in a broader mission to support local businesses and foster cultural exchange in the heart of Chinatown.

  • Decolonizing Tea Workshop (Virtual or In-person)

    • The Decolonizing Tea Workshop reveals the untold histories of exploitation and colonization behind tea. We unpack the ways Western tea trades caused harm to people worldwide, shedding light on a complex history. The workshop also features an interactive tea tasting, where participants can learn about different teas and experience the traditional Chinese gongfucha tea ceremony.
